Yverdon and Servette drew 0-0 on Sunday evening. The Yverdon defense put in a strong performance and kept the Geneva attack at bay. Goalie Bernardoni was the hero of the game and brought the ball to a standstill time and again. Yverdon was less strong offensively than in the first half, but still managed to create their best chance of the game through substitute Tasar. However, Joel Mall on the opposing side was always on his toes and the Yverdon players were unable to score. In the last second of the game, Bernardoni had to use all his skill once again, as Mazikou shot the ball towards the far corner in the Servettiens' final attack. With a fantastic save, the Yverdon goalkeeper brought the ball just in time from the goal line into the goal and secured his team the important point against the higher-class Servette. Yverdon thus remains unbeaten and stays in touch with the top of the table. The Yverdon players have improved significantly in recent games and are now a serious opponent in the Challenge League. The team under coach is getting stronger and has good chances to qualify for the next season. Yverdon will face FC Schaffhausen in the next game and will give everything to get the three points.
